Coaches Corner welcomes special guest, the CEO of The American Swimming Coaches Association, former Ohio State Head Coach, Bill Wadley. Coach Wadley has a discussion with host Mike Murray about some of his goals for ASCA in 2020-2021 and how he plans to connect to young coaches and encourage educational opportunities within the profession to help drive success from the early stages of a coaching career through retirement. Coach Wadley is passionate about Coaches health & wellness and hopes to develop a number of initiatives for coaches to learn how to find balance, self-advocate for mental health and learn how to be an effective mentor for your staff.
Wadley coached 16 Olympians, 30 Big Ten Champions, and was named 2010 Big Ten Coach of the Year after leading his team to a conference championship. He was 253-42 in dual meets since taking over the program in 1989 and never had a losing record during his tenure at Ohio State University.
